This is the story of Maggie, a single mother raising two daughters, who lost her husband to suicide. Maggie’s husband had been struggling with substance abuse for many years, and despite Maggie’s efforts to help him, he was unable to overcome his demons. Since then, she has found the courage to speak publicly about her experience, knowing she has a unique opportunity to help others who are struggling with mental health issues and substance abuse.
Maggie’s story serves as a reminder that we are all capable of overcoming challenges and making a positive impact on the world around us. If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health issues or substance abuse, please seek help. You are not alone; there is always hope for a better tomorrow.

Kids react to separation and divorce differently. They might feel like they've done something wrong to cause the separation, or they might feel anxious... They might withdraw, and they might display disruptive behaviours... These are normal reactions, and the best thing you can do, as parents is to let your kids know that it's okay to experience and share how they're feeling.
If you are separating from the other parent of your children, it's helpful to know what your kids might worry about so you can support them to the best ability. In this episode, I share ten things that kids might worry about when you separate.
I hope this episode helps you understand and listen to how they're feeling, and make sure they feel supported during the process.

In this episode, I talk about children and what they should know, what they shouldn’t know, and what they probably know anyway, as you consider separation. Divorce or separation can be a challenging transition for children. It can be a traumatic event, but you and your children will adjust to this new situation as you find your new normal. I hope this episode helps you guide your children through this transition too.
